Basics That Aren't So Basic

Keeping your outfits simple has been a pretty big trend, especially during quarantine. But, I'm a sucker for outfits that stand out. I've done some research and tried out some clothing and shoes to figure out how to bring your basic quarantine outfit to the next level.

PLATFORM CONVERSE

Converse has been making a big comeback, and I'm totally here for it. But, I tried to up my converse game by getting a pair of platforms! This will still give you the simple converse look, but elevate your outfit, literally and figuratively.

NEON PUFFER JACKETS

Puffer jackets are a must for these chilly winter days, but I think it's time to spice up the basic winter coat. I'm a big sunglasses girl, and these studded sunnies from Brunch Club have stolen my heart. Sunglasses are a classic accessory to any outfit and getting a pair of sparkly ones will make your look top-notch. I can promise you these sunglasses won't hide your eyes but will attract anyone glitter-obsessed to them.

SHOULDER PAD TEES

An elevated version of the everyday tank top, shoulder pad tanks and tees have been raged over lately. They give some structure to your look and will make your outfit look super put together in the blink of an eye. WHITE WIDE LEG JEANS

White jeans are a wardrobe staple for pretty much every southern, preppy girl. But, I think it's time to step it up a little bit. These wide-leg jeans are simple enough to go with just about anything but are different than your average super skinny jeans. BTW: I'm totally leaning away from skinny jeans and falling in love with straight and wide-leg jeans cropped just above the ankle...that's just my trend-forecast for you!
